Need help with Excel Link Detective?
Start with the quick checks below. If the problem remains, contact support and include the app version plus the exact error message.
Unverified link?
Use Locate source… for one source or Verify in folder… to resolve several by filename without modifying the workbook.
Target missing?
Right-click the finding and choose Open target workbook to inspect the real sheet/name before retargeting.
Break refused?
That can be intentional safety behaviour. A missing cached result means Link Detective cannot safely turn that formula into a static value.

When reporting a problem, please include:
- Excel Link Detective version (for launch: v1.0.0)
- Windows version
- Whether the workbook is XLSX or XLSM
- The exact error message or screenshot
- A minimal test workbook only if you can safely share it
Privacy tip: don't send a real confidential workbook just to report an error. A stripped-down reproduction is much better.
